I wasn\'t gonna do anything holiday related but I got motivated by Akasha (https://x.com/AkashaAfterDark), who also drew some Lynx art for the holiday.I spent way more time making the environment than I did the actual animation. I enjoyed making it though, and it was a fun learning experience. The tent was stolen from a map made by Lict (https://x.com/Licht_57) and the aurora was done using this tutorial by Kammerbild: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwYfrEP4JvE. I think the aurora turned out great, but whenever it was on the screen, the frame took an extra 15-20s to render. I was going to render this out at 60fps but decided against it when I noticed that, otherwise the render time would have taken somewhere around 8 hours to render out. Will still probably try and keep scenes simple in the future, but I really wanted to home in on the chilly atmosphere. The handwriting at the end was recorded using Procreate on my iPad and chroma-keyed out.Hope you all have a lovely holiday.
