I've been trying to improve a lot of the functionality rather than graphics at this point.
The stage and models are several million vertices each.
This scene loads swiftly and allows it to be modified while texture loads are streamed in.
It also shows how quickly scene values can be set up, despite a partial UI and windows positioned all over the place.
It takes under two minutes to set the scene up for the final shot.
I added some asynchronous asset loading - mostly just texture loading and texture scaling.
I added a wireframe pipeline for selected materials and vertex groups.
